Working Out, Staying In Shape

January 16th, 2008

For those of you just visiting the site for the first time, thanks for stopping by.

As regular readers of the blog are well aware, every now and then I’ll post entries related to one of my absolute favorite pasttimes and, thus far, lifelong passions – weightlifting and, more generally, health and fitness – sharing insights, tips, and information I’ve picked up over the years as an avid gym-goer and former personal trainer.

I first began lifting weights in my sophomore year of high school, and aside from a year-long hiatus when I first began college, I’ve done a respectable job of keeping up with it ever since, averaging three to four visits to the gym a week.

In the past I was a Certified Personal Trainer with the American Council On Exercise and the American College Of Sports Medicine.  While I am no longer a certified trainer, I still enjoy helping others, beginners and non-beginners alike, looking for advice and encouragement on their own workout regimens.

If you would like to catch up on my previous workout-related posts, all you have to do is click on either the Health & Fitness or Weightlifting Categories located on the right hand side of the page for a reverse chronological listing of all the posts filed under that particular heading.

Enjoy!
