Super Mario Post It Stop Motion
June 12th, 2010Very cool:
Must’ve taken forever to make…

Check out this cool video trailer for a playable, fan-made Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link First Person Shooter:
Neat idea taking Link into the FPS realm of gaming a la Samus in Metroid Prime. The old school, 8-bit graphics and sound add to the charm a great deal; I especially like the Title Screen, which at first glance looks just like the original game until the 3D camera begins moving about.
Check out the game itself here up to the first Boss fight for free, although you’ll need to download the Unity Web Player first.
Check out this awesome, retro gaming-inspired stop motion animation featuring characters from several popular NES-era games:
The artist, Eric Odmyr, says it took over 30 hours, spread out over a few days, to complete.
The music – a song by Bunnymajs called “WHAT DID YOU SAY?” – fits nicely with the retro 8-bit theme, don’t you think? (Thought the music was taken from an old school game myself until I read otherwise on the animator’s YouTube page here.)
NeoGAF user Jarosh made this super sweet Mega Man mosaic made up of screenshots from the 6 original Mega Man games for NES:
Check out Pixels, an amazing short film by Patrick Jean of One More Production, in which New York City is overrun by 8-bit invaders:
Sweet!
