Well, it’s official – Capcom has unveiled a trailer for Street Fighter 4. Looks pretty snazzy. What do you think?

As promised, here’s an update for you with an actual screenshot posted on 1up.com -
The background details are pretty impressive, but I’m not crazy about how Ryu looks in this pic. It’s almost too realistic, if that’s possible.
I’d rather have the cartoony, anime look. Something like this:
Still, I suppose the screenshot above shows a significant improvement over Capcom’s last foray into 3D – Street Fighter EX.
Big difference.
Oh, well. I’ll reserve judgment on the game’s look until we finally see some gameplay footage online.

It looks alright, but to me, I always like Street Fighter in 2D. But I suppose that many fighting games is in 3D and Street Fighter has jumped into that bandwagon. One thing I’m not satisfied, the graphics. Since Street Fighter is from Capcom, why can’t they make a super good 3D quality as Devil May Cry. I mean, that game is also from Capcom.
A bit of an update. There are now screenshots from Street Fighter 4 circulating on the web. When I have a chance I’ll post an update with pics.
It seems that Street Fighter 4 will utililze 3D graphics with the fighting to remain in a 2D plane.
I agree with you on the move away from 2D graphics. It would have been a bold move by Capcom to resist the jump to 3D, and I think that longtime fans (like myself) would have stood by them had they chosen to stick with 2D.
Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Dead Or Alive, Soul Calibur, and even Mortal Kombat, are all 3D now.
Guess there’s still Guilty Gear…
