A Nightmare On Elm Street Remake Trailer

Here’s the trailer for the new A Nightmare On Elm Street coming out April of next year:

The official site calls the new film a “contemporary re-imagining” which,  judging by the trailer, means “remake.”

I think the casting of Watchmen‘s Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach) as the new Freddy Krueger is inspired; I can’t really think of any actor better suited for the role of Freddy.   (Although, the new “Freddy” voice will take some getting used to.)

Not so sure about the trailer’s laughably silly reveal of the iconic red and green striped sweater either…
