Check out this really cool Mega Man wall mural (Mega Man vs Dr. Wily) made by darth_kettch over at the Sprite Stitch Board:

Made entirely out of perler bead, the various Mega Man-inspired pieces were affixed to a wall (using Super Glue) at the student dorm where the artist used to reside in Norway.
Here are a few closeup shots of the mural:

To me, it’s the movement of the piece that really makes this wall mural stand out. Rather than show a simple, static “screenshot” of our hero firing a volley at his archnemesis Dr. Wily, by using a variety of sprites – Mega Man running, jumping, sliding, and shooting - the artist depicts a visually interesting sequence of events that could’ve come straight from the game.

Nicely done, don’t you think?

Check out the super sweet, framed Mega Man artwork my friend Nate and his girlfriend Amy made for my birthday:

The entire piece is pretty big, actually. The frame is 2 feet tall and a foot and a half wide.
They used 1/2-inch square cutout pieces of origami paper. (Must’ve taken awhile…)
The Japanese sunburst background is a nice touch, and the matching painted “blue bomber” picture frame ties the whole thing together quite nicely.
Here’s a close up view:

Thanks for the awesome birthday gift, guys!

I seem to be on a bit of a Mega Man-inspired kick lately.
Did a quick search for “Mega Man Graffiti” on Google image search and came up with a bunch of really cool images of everyone’s favorite Blue Bomber all over the place in cities around the world!
Who knew Mega Man was such a popular subject for graffiti artists?
