Iron Man TV Spot
February 4th, 2008So I really enjoyed the Iron Man Super Bowl TV Spot, and I am really looking forward to this summer’s release.
The only problem I have with the spot happens towards the end of the clip. Iron Man’s movements are a bit awkward when firing those missiles of his, and the whole sequence involving the tank really does look like something from a PS3 game. The buildings in the background look sorta fake, and the completely CGI Iron Man doesn’t look all that great compared to the practical effects suit shown earlier in the clip.
I’m thinking the inconsistency in quality might be explained in the movie; that within the context of the film, what we’re seeing is simulated footage of the final version of the Iron Man costume in action. I mean, the suit looks pretty good zipping around, right?
