Just got through reading Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith, author of Pride And Prejudice And Zombies; I’ll try to post a review of the book some time soon.
In the meantime, check out this amazing cover:
Cover Art For Time Lincoln Issue 1
As if a vampire hunting Abe Lincoln wasn’t enough, our 16th President once again receives the superheroic treatment in Time Lincoln, a one-shot comic book by Fred Perry!
Here’s the description from the Antarctic Press website:
What happens when the Great Emancipator is suddenly freed from the bonds of time to right wrongs throughout history? On the night of his assassination, Abraham Lincoln’s life is threatened not by an angry actor, but by Void Stalin, the man who is literally the greatest villain of all time! Somehow, Lincoln is destined to wage war upon Void Stalin’s forces of evil in the past, present and future, and the time-traveling tyrant is determined to make sure that never comes to pass! In his last hour, he lived a lifetime!
Here’s the official poster for The Expendables coming August 13th:
Movie Poster For The Expendables
Pretty cool.
I’m hoping we get an official trailer for the movie soon. I love the casting (for obvious reasons – see above), but I’m a bit worried by some of the leaked footage I’ve seen online. Here’s hoping Stallone and company pull this off…
Owners of the original, 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System can totally relate to this one:
Something Retro Gamers Can All Relate To
This fun, whimsical T-Shirt design by artist Jay Ross illustrates the magical “blow” move performed by an entire generation of kids unable to get their NES game cartridges to start up properly on the first try.
Check out the trailers below for Klei Entertainment’s newest game, Shank, a bloody and brutal 2D side-scrolling brawler, coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC:
(The video clips are age-restricted due to the realistic cartoon violence.)
I love the way Shank moves and the sheer variety of weapons he has at his disposal. The backgrounds are gorgeous, and the sunset segments are a nice visual touch:
