Here’s the trailer for the new ANightmare On Elm Street coming out April of next year:
The official site calls the new film a “contemporary re-imagining” which, judging by the trailer, means “remake.”
I think the casting of Watchmen‘s Jackie Earle Haley (Rorschach) as the new Freddy Krueger is inspired; I can’t really think of any actor better suited for the role of Freddy. (Although, the new “Freddy” voice will take some getting used to.)
Not so sure about the trailer’s laughably silly reveal of the iconic red and green striped sweater either…
Here’s the North American trailer for the followup to 2003′s Ong Bak (dubbed Ong Bak 2: The Beginning stateside) starring Thai martial arts film star Tony Jaa:
Been following this one for awhile now. Looking forward to the North American release…
Legacy Brewing Co. has an Imperial IPA called – get this – Hoptimus Prime!
No, really.
Here’s a pic from the Legacy Brewing Co. webpage:
It’s tough to make out, but the green figure on the label (Hoptimus Prime, presumably, striking a heroic pose) is muscular, roughly humanoid, and appropriately, made entirely out of hops.
As one might expect, the beer has quite a bit of hoppy flavor to it and, as Autobot Commander Optimus Prime would say, is “made of sterner stuff.”
A Pepsi representative (and Super Mario fanatic it seems) tasked with creating an eye-catching display for the recent Labor Day weekend sale at the Rohnert Park Safeway in northern California constructed this giant Super Mario-themed installation piece made out of 12-Pack soda containers!
According to the fellow who spearheaded the Nintendo-themed display (his name is Ryan; his YouTube page can be found here), the entire project took him and two other workers four hours to complete!
In the end, a thousand 12-Packs of soda were used to create the giant-sized Mario and 1-Up Mushroom.
Watch the video embedded below to get a better idea of the scale of the thing. It’s huge!
