Some crazy Japanese guy (with a lot of spare time on his hands and a really twisted sense of humor) created an insanely difficult Super Mario World hack called Kaizo Mario, or Asshole Mario as it’s more commonly known stateside, then recorded his friend’s attempts to pass the game.
Just to give you an idea how infuriatingly hard the game is, here’s a clip taken from Stage 3 of the sequel, Asshole Mario 2:
Some “friend,” right?
Here’s another one of my “favorites,” the very first stage in the sequel:
If you want to see the other stages, just go to youtube and search for “Asshole Mario.”
Not all of the videos are edited very well, so you may want to skip ahead past the more repetitive bits, but they’re all pretty entertaining. The later levels are incredibly inventive. Also, evil.
Already looking forward to watching this movie, and now after seeing the latest trailer, Iron Man has now become a “must-see, wait-in-line-on-opening day” film.
Looks like it’s going to be lots of fun.
I’m impressed. Very impressed. The latest trailer kicks an obscene amount of ass, and I’m sure lots of folks who maybe weren’t sold on the film or were unfamiliar with the Marvel Comics hero are going to consider checking it out after watching this trailer.
Here it is:
I loved Robert Downey, Jr.’s casting from the get-go.
The trailer gives away a lot of really funny lines, (hopefully, there’s plenty more where those came from) but it’s great to see how Tony Stark’s (Iron Man’s alter ego) charming and incorrigible nature really comes through in the dialogue and, of course, through Robert Downey, Jr.’s acting.
Judging by the trailer, I don’t think we’ve seen most of the really cool action sequences either.
On a side note, I’m particularly glad that the somewhat dodgy effects used in the Superbowl TV ad have been touched up for the trailer. (I wrote about the TV spot here.)
Can’t wait until we get a glimpse of the upcoming Hulk reboot as well…
The next installment in Nintendo’s popular Mario Kart video game franchise, Mario Kart Wii, is scheduled to arrive Spring 2008 for the Nintendo Wii and will come packaged with the Wii Wheel, a steering wheel-shaped accessory that like the Wii Zapper before it houses the Wii Remote and allows players to steer their karts as if they were actually behind the wheel!
Here’s a larger, unobstructed view of this fun new accessory courtesy of ign.com:
I don’t own a Nintendo Wii, and likely never will now that my hardcore video gaming days are well behind me. Still, it makes me happy to see nifty little gadgets like the Wheel Wii coming out.
I wrote in a previous post (you can read the entire entry here) that I’d reserve judgment on the latest entry in the long-running Street Fighter video game franchise until I at least got a chance to see some actual in-game footage.
Well, ign.com has posted gameplay footage of the newest Street Fighter game, Street Fighter IV. The clip below features SF newcomer Abel squaring off against Ryu.
